In Evony, players can significantly boost a general's attributes and unlock new skill effects through ascension. This guide covers everything you need to know about the ascension system, including ascension costs and how to obtain the required items.
Generals' Ascension Cost in Evony
To ascend a general, you must first increase their star rating. Stars are earned in two stages: gold stars are gained through star upgrades, while red stars are unlocked through ascension.
Start by tapping "Enhance" to raise the star rating. Once a general reaches 5 gold stars, the ascension interface will become available.
The table below outlines all material requirements throughout the enhancement and ascension process.
Each general's own fragments can be obtained by dismissing duplicate copies of that general. All other ascension-related items can be acquired through the methods listed below.
Ways to Obtain Exclusive Ascension Fragments

7. Storm ShopExchange 10 Storm Coins for 1 Exclusive Ascension Fragment. Redemption is capped at 30 times per season.

- All-Out Preparation — Spend 5 Preparation Vouchers to redeem 50 Medals (up to 50 times). Preparation Vouchers are available through corresponding packages.
- Civilization Celebration — Participate in themed sub-events: Shining Treasure, The Silk Road, Tea Culture, Precious Vegetation, Eagle of Freedom, Strong Drink, and Fragrance. Complete tasks to earn event coins, which can be exchanged for large quantities of Medals.
- Hecate's Secret Ritual (Hecate's Treasure) — Spend 3 Ritual Silver Coins to redeem 50 Medals (up to 60 times). Ritual Silver Coins are obtained by consuming the Ritual Serpent Dagger. During the event, the Ritual Serpent Dagger can be earned by purchasing packages, killing monsters, or gathering RSS — spending it to wish for rewards will yield Ritual Silver Coins.
- Historic Generals Gather — Exchange 5 Summoning Orders for 50 Medals (up to 50 times).
